Highland, Illinois The Wicks 1940 organ replaces a 1856 organ built by Joseph Prante. The Wicks organ has 1,150 distinct pipes, and cost $685.65.00. The plans and specifications were drawn up by Father Vincent Wagner, a native of the parish. A special collection to help pay for the new organ amounted to $3638.00. It was dedicated on the evening of April 25, 1940, by Abbot Ignatius Esser, OSB, from St. Meinrad. |
